Ano Abdoka
Minister of Transportation
Ano Abdoka Serves as the Minister of Transportation and Communications for the Kurdistan Region Government (KRG), and representative of Christians at KRG’s Council of Ministers since July 2019. He holds a Master's degree in Politics and International Relations from the University of Kurdistan Hewler, and he is a PhD candidate at Salahaddin University in Politics & International Relations. As the leader of the Shlama Trend for Christian Affairs, and Christian Alliance Secretary General, Abdoka is the sole Chaldean and Christian member of the KRG cabinet. Abdoka has dedicated his political career to championing the integration of non-Muslim communities into Kurdistan, Iraq, and Middle East’s political processes. Abdoka’s main focus is on the preservation and empowerment of the Christian communities in the Middle East by focusing on strengthening the basis of religious and ethnic diversity, harmony, equality, respect, and coexistence between the different components of the region. Abdoka is a devoted Christian, believing in the important role of Christian faith in the East.

Dr. Hemin Hawrami
Former Deputy Speaker of Parliament
Dr. Hemin Hawrami is a prominent Kurdish political figure, currently serving as a member of the Political Bureau of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP), the leading ruling party in Iraqi Kurdistan. He previously served as Deputy Speaker of the Kurdistan Parliament and also led the advisory team in the office of President Massoud Barzani.
Before his parliamentary term, Dr. Hawrami was Head of the KDP’s Foreign Relations Office, where he played a key role in shaping the party's international diplomacy and strategic partnerships. Born in 1976 in Halabja, Dr. Hawrami holds a Ph.D. in International Relations, showcasing his deep understanding of global affairs and political strategy. He also earned a Bachelor's degree in English Literature from Salahaddin University, Erbil (1999), and a Master’s degree in International Relations from the University of Kurdistan-Hewler (2016).
